11 months!

Randy describes Quinn in three words: active, smart, sweet. :-)

He sums it up for sure! Quinn celebrated her 11-month birthday on Friday. I don't know that all that much has changed since 10 months. She is still pulling up on everything and crawling everywhere, babbling all the time, and napping like a champ. Nights have been difficult lately (at least the past month...ugh) but we are chalking that up to one ear infection after another and the fact that she is working on her molars. She's been getting up once or twice a night, which is especially hard because she'd been sleeping through the night since two months.

Eating....everything. She has a fruit (usually a banana or orange) for breakfast with her cereal. Lunch is a fruit, a vegetable, and bread or something like that for lunch, and then a good protein source (tonight it was Daddy's turkey meatloaf!), a veggie, and whatever else she wants. We have stuck to feeding her really healthfully (whole grains, no sugar, etc.) and are hoping that she will continue to enjoy and thrive from these healthy foods. She drinks her milk from a cup at day care! We are still working on that at home.

She loves playing with the dogs and kids at day care. She can be a little shy sometimes around a lot of people but will usually warm up after a while.

Quinn loves reading books. I love to watch her interact with the books as we  are reading; she'll pull at the people or characters, turn the pages, hold up her arms, and more. She knows commands like "so big," "arms up," "wave," "clap," and more. She is sometimes really chatty, and can definitely let us know when she ISN'T happy. :-) She doesn't really show an interest in walking yet.

Last time we checked, she was right around 22 pounds. All of her clothes are 12 month size. She is still long and lean, so she rocks the blousy look with lots of her tops.

Miss Quinn continues to be the light of our lives. We are so blessed to be her mommy and daddy, and she makes us laugh every day. In just a month, we will be celebrating her first birthday, washing cake out of her hair, adding whole milk to our grocery list, and continuing to scramble to keep up with her.

I can't think of anything I'd rather do!

Love you, Quinn!

  4. We go to the doctor on Friday to check his weight. . he has actually lost another pound since being sick. He is eating great though--I think part of the reason is he is getting taller. Hopefully it is nothing and he is just going through a growth spurt!
